National Doctors Day honored in Hamedan

The National Doctors Day has been celebrated at the Mausoleum of Avicenna in Hamedan.

The graduation ceremony of a number of medical students was held on August 23, 2022 in the presence of cultural officials of the city.

August 23 marks the National Day of Physicians in Iran as a commemoration to Avicenna, the prominent Persian philosopher and physician.

Abu Ali Sina, known in the West as Avicenna, is widely honored for his contributions to the fields of philosophy and medicine.
